From Red to Violet

A six-painting journey through grief, and the quiet courage of moving forward.

Some experiences cannot be told with words alone.

This collection began after one of the greatest losses of my life. What started as a single painting became six—each finding its own color, voice, and place in a journey I never expected to paint. The colors unfolded naturally. Red became anger. Orange became feeling lost. Yellow searched for meaning. Green found rebirth . Blue learned hope, and the ability to breathe again. Violet discovered acceptance and that moving forward is not about leaving grief behind, but learning to carry love in a new way.

These paintings are deeply personal, yet they were never intended to tell only my story. Each of us has walked through seasons of loss. Sometimes we grieve a person. Sometimes a dream, a relationship, a place, or even the version of ourselves we once were. While the circumstances are different, the emotions often speak a common language.

My hope is that you won't simply see these paintings—you'll find a place where your own story quietly meets them.

Whether you spend a few moments or a long while here, thank you for walking this journey with me.

The six paintings that follow are presented in the order they were created, tracing a path from Red to Violet
