Yellow, the third in the series, is searching.

This painting came to be when I began to realize that I had to find my way—that I had to find me. Not me as a couple, as I had been for so long, but me, by myself. I truly did not know where to start. Where the Light Breaks Through is exactly that—the light beginning to break through the deep sadness.

Where the Light Breaks Through immerses the viewer in a world of radiant warmth, where layered impasto strokes in golden hues pulse with kinetic energy. Sweeps of sunlit yellow mingle with flashes of amber and soft white, creating a landscape that feels alive with movement—like heat shimmering in midsummer air. The textured surface invites closer inspection, revealing forms that rise and drift, reaching and searching, suggesting sparks or dancing flames.
