Held Through the Storm is an ode to movement, heat, and the restless vitality of nature. This piece was painted in a season of deep loss. There was a feeling of being exposed - like everything familiar had been shaken - but also a quiet awareness that something within me was still standing. Not untouched, not unchanged, but still here. The tree emerged as a kind of anchor. Bent, moving, surrounded by intensity - but not broken.
